Who we are

We believe everyone can realise their full potential, free from inequalities or the constraints of trauma and adversity.

Beyond the Margin began with a simple yet powerful idea: meeting people where they’re at. Our founder spent 15 years working as a youth worker in Holmewood, witnessing first-hand the barriers young people faced and the cycles of adversity many were born into.

She saw what was missing: accessible, person-centred, therapeutic support delivered with warmth, trust and creativity. So in 2021, she started something different.

From those early conversations and community spaces, we’ve grown into a small but committed team with a shared drive to create change.

We all wear many hats, and we’re proud of that. We deliver therapeutic support, lead creative projects, provide education and training, and always work alongside people, not on their behalf.

We’re deeply rooted in Holmewood, a place rich in strength, history, and potential. We know this community because we’re part of it. That connection shapes how we work, always local, always personal, always with care.

In just a few years, we’ve developed and delivered a range of impactful projects that bring people together, build resilience, support healing, and help individuals grow in confidence, skills and hope.

To support people facing inequalities by delivering community-based, creative interventions that enhance skills, build resilience, improve well-being, raise aspirations and help people find and reach the potential they have within them.

We create safe, nurturing spaces where healing, change, and growth are possible for everyone.

And we do it imaginatively—because it’s more fun that way.
